Bennett Law Firm

Meet Ansley

Ansley Platt Bennett is the owner and managing attorney of Bennett Law.

Background

Ansley is a 2015 Honors B.A. graduate of The University of Alabama and graduated from The University of Georgia School of Law in 2019, where she participated extensively in the Criminal Defense Clinic and served as President of the Public Interest Law Council.

While in law school, Ansley worked for two years at the Western Circuit Public Defender’s office where she was able to represent clients in hearings, trials, and other matters. Ansley always knew she wanted to practice criminal defense, and her time at the Public Defender’s Office solidified her mission to help people navigate the criminal justice system.

Upon returning to Birmingham, Ansley worked for two and a half years with one of Alabama’s most prominent criminal defense attorneys, handling many cases in municipal state courts across Alabama. After developing her skills defending clients in many types of criminal matters, she decided it was time to open her own firm and started Bennett Law.
